MONA: A culinary walk from Munich to Naples. This is how our gastronomic project in Munich Haidhausen can be discribed the best way.

Who expects classics of Italian cuisine will be surprised by the creations of our chef de cuisine. The dishes aren't tradtional ones, but creativly combined samplings of different stations on the way to the south. With lots of innovation and playful accumen simple Vitello Tonnato gets destructured: Pink roasted veal meets the smoked trout from Starnberger See and melts to an unique taste fusion.

Particular cooking and durability procedures like barbecue or fermentation suprise the palate with a sparkling combination of ingredients. You will get away from the normal gastronomic tourist paths and make every time new discoveries.

Also the ambience at MONA lets hearts beat faster: The stylish interior design from architect Afroditi Krasse unifies colours full of contrasts and different materials to an atmospheric design. Pastel colour stone tiles, leader, artworks of Daniel Man on the loam walls and the light design of Ingo Maurer round everything up. The core piece of the restaurant is our open-kitchen which opens an impressive insight behind the sceens.
On hot summer days our wide sun terrace near Gasteig is the best meeting point for a fresh aperitif. For a quick espresso or for afterwork with collegues we always find a place for you.
